Monday Matinee @ Morningside: April 7 at 1 pm
Look for a different movie every Monday at 1 pm through Memorial Day! April 7th Movie: This 1971 film (Rated R) is set in 1951, and tells the story of a group of high schoolers who are coming of age in a bleak, isolated, atrophied North Texas town that is slowly dying, both culturally and economically.
1st Saturday Family Storytime: Pirates Ahoy! on April 5
Calling all scallywags to report for Pirate duty at the Library! We'll spin tales, sing sea shanties, and practice our seafarin’ skills! Afterwards, make a fun pirate craft and follow a treasure map to find the loot! Don’t miss out, or you’ll be saying “AAARRRGHH!”
Summer Internship Opportunity at the Sioux City Public Library!
Attention high school* & college students! The Sioux City Public Library is seeking an energetic person with a passion for literacy and a desire to share their enthusiasm for reading with young people in our community to serve in the Library's Youth Services Department as a Student Intern. The internship will run from approximately May 27th through August 1st, 2025. *Must be at least 16 years old to apply.
Trivia Night at Buffalo Alice on March 26
We are closing out the 2025’s Sioux City Reads season with Trivia Night at Buffalo Alice on Wednesday, March 26 from 6:30-8:30pm! Answer pop culture questions from across the decades plus a couple rounds inspired by the 2025 Sioux City Reads book, Unmask Alice by Rick Emerson.

Each week on Tuesday at 11 am at the Perry Creek Library or Wednesday at 10:30 am at the Morningside Branch Library join us for a fun and interactive storytime for ages 0 through 5! Curious young minds experience the magic that stories offer, build vocabulary, and develop early literacy skills for future reading success!
