Sioux City True Crime: A Century of Suspicion, Part 2 on April 25 and 28

Sioux City has never been short on secrets. From unsolved murders to headline-making trials, crime has shaped our community’s history for more than a century. Join Local History Librarian Specialist, Sarah Enright, as she uncovers one gripping case from each decade of the 20th century. This "Part 2" session will cover each remaining case that was not voted on in the fall sessions. If you missed Part 1 - do not fret! These cases stand on their own and require no prior knowledge.

2026 Book Lovers’ Book Sale: April 23 to May 2

It’s the most wonderful time of year - Book Sale Time! The Book Sale will run from April 23 through May 2. This year's location is the also the location used last year, the former Chuck E Cheese site at the Southern Hills Mall. Park on the Barnes & Noble side of the mall and use the outside door to enter. This used Book Sale is a Friends of the Sioux City Public Library fundraiser. Proceeds enrich public library service in Sioux City, funding children's summer reading initiative and providing books, recordings, online resources, and more!
