Read-To-Me-Dogs on June 25
Practice reading to gentle canine listeners at this drop-in event featuring specially trained therapy dogs. No registration required. Happening at the Aalfs Downtown Library Tuesday, June 25 from 2 - 3 pm.
First Fifty Pages Podcast with Kate DiCamillo
The newest episode of the Library's podcast features the award-winning author Kate DiCamillo! She is the author of many books for young readers including Because of Winn-Dixie and The Tale of Despereaux. Her books have been awarded the Newbery Medal, the Boston Globe Horn Book Award, and the Theodor Geisel Medal.
Young Birders Backpack Kit Now Available!
The Loess Hills Audubon Society has donated a Young Birders Backpack Kit to the Sioux City Public Library! Thanks to a generous Mildred Anderson grant from the Juniour League of Sioux City, the Loess Hills Audubon Society was able to provide a birding backpack for kids that is available for checkout by full-access Sioux City Library cardholders that are 18+.

Each week on Tuesday at 11 am at the Perry Creek Library or Wednesday at 10:30 am at the Morningside Branch Library join us for a fun and interactive storytime for ages 0 through 5! Curious young minds experience the magic that stories offer, build vocabulary, and develop early literacy skills for future reading success!
