Library Open House on October 5!
The Library is hosting an OPEN HOUSE on Saturday, October 5 from 10am – 1pm at the Aalfs Downtown Library. Drop-in to learn and see all the Library has to offer while enjoying a fun experience for the whole family!
October’s Open Book Club: Kingdom Quarterback by Mark Dent and Rustin Dodd
Fresh off of a gutsy, thrilling 2023 Super Bowl win for the Kansas City Chiefs, two inspiring stories that fit perfectly together—a biography of superstar quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, who brought the Chiefs to their first Super Bowl win in fifty years in 2020 as well as a second in 2023, along with the historical struggles and recent resurgence of the former “Paris of the Plains,” Kansas City.
Trivia Night at Buffalo Alice on September 18
In honor of Library Card Sign Up Month, the Library is hosting our next Trivia Night at Buffalo Alice on Wednesday, September 18 from 6:30-8:30pm! Travel through the decades and see how much pop culture knowledge you know from the 1940s, 80s, or even 2010s!
First Fifty Pages Podcast with Jodi Picoult
The newest episode of the Library's podcast features the one-and-only Jodi Picoult - the number one New York Times bestselling author of 29 novels. Her works have been translated into 34 languages and there are over 40 million copies of her books in print. She has also narrated audiobooks and written five issues of DC Comics' Wonder Woman.

Each week on Tuesday at 11 am at the Perry Creek Library or Wednesday at 10:30 am at the Morningside Branch Library join us for a fun and interactive storytime for ages 0 through 5! Curious young minds experience the magic that stories offer, build vocabulary, and develop early literacy skills for future reading success!
