Closing for New Year’s holiday
All locations of the Sioux City Public Library will be closing at 5 pm on Wednesday, December 31 and will be closed on Thursday, January 1 in observance of the New Year’s Day holiday.

Family Movie Friday on January 2 (Rated PG)
Join us for a family movie! The featured presentation is a newly released (2025) live-action family movie: When Hiccup befriends Toothless, a feared Night Fury dragon, their unlikely bond reveals the true nature of dragons, challenging the very foundations of Viking society.

Sharing books and stories is important to your child’s brain development. Join the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten challenge that brings you and your child closer together while developing their vocabulary and preparing them to become a stronger reader. Learn how to get started!
Each week on Tuesday at 11 am at the Perry Creek Library or Wednesday at 10:30 am at the Morningside Branch Library join us for a fun and interactive storytime for ages 0 through 5! Curious young minds experience the magic that stories offer, build vocabulary, and develop early literacy skills for future reading success!
