On Wednesday, March 25 at 6 pm, join us for a video presentation: Memories of Five Nisei at the Aalfs Downtown Library. Video Summary: Five second-generation Japanese Americans share memories of their lives, with a focus on the World War II internment camp experience. The Nisei speakers, who are all in their 80s and 90s, will also compare their camp experiences with the detention centers in Texas for Central American refugees.

Film Summary: After the attack on Pearl Harbor, seven-year-old Jeanne Wakatsuki, her family and 11,000 other Americans of Japanese descent and their immigrant parents are imprisoned in the internment camp Manzanar in California.
