Mural Painting Drop-In Event on February 6
Stop by the Library on Tuesday, February 6th and help us PAINT our window mural! Visit the Aalfs Downtown Library to help paint the 2024 Sioux City Reads window mural! All ages are welcome to attend, and everyone will have a chance to add their mark to this “paint-by-numbers" style project - all supplies provided.

1st Saturday Family Storytime: Under the Sea on February 3
What could be Under the Sea? Sea Stars, Clown Fish, and Sharks galore! What ocean adventures will we explore? Attendees will experience fin-tastic fun through stories, songs and rhymes. Plus, make a splash with a colorful craft! All ages welcome. For February only – we’re having our 1st Saturday Family Storytime at the Morningside Branch Library! Registration is required.

Coloring Contest: Win Tickets to Baby Shark at the Orpheum on Feb. 3
Win tickets to see Baby Shark’s Big Broadwave Tour at the Sioux City Orpheum on Saturday, February 3! Stop in to any Sioux City Public Library location and pick up a Baby Shark coloring sheet. You can color at the Library or take it home but be sure to return your sheet to any Library location by January 20!

Jammies in the Library? You bet! Wear your pajamas and bring your favorite stuffed animal to the Library for a fun and snuggly storytime! We will read books, sing songs and finish with a pajama-riffic craft. All ages welcome. Free parking on weekends! Registration is required.

Looking for something fun to do during Christmas break? Crafternoons at the Library have just what you need! The Maker Cart will be filled with supplies. Children, teens and their families are invited to join us in making the craft of the day, or they may choose to make their own creation using the Library’s wide variety of supplies and tools! All supplies will be provided.

STEM DAY Drop-in Event on November 8
The Sioux City Public Library will debut their new STEM cart and invite curious young minds to drop in anytime from 4-6pm at the Aalfs Downtown Library and try their hands at making a wiggle bot! Wiggle bots are lively little robots brought to life by an electric motor and a kid's imagination!
