Kick-Off Event: Find Your Voice!

Kickoff a summer of fun at this special Library event! Show off you singing skills in the Karaoke Lounge, create wearable art by making your own button, and place your handprint on the Library window mural. Plus, pick up your Summer Reading Starter Pack!

Families are invited to the Library for this music-filled adventure complete with audience participation, movie-inspired activities, refreshments, and prizes! In the featured animated film, a young mermaid falls in love with a human prince and has to make a magical deal in order to become human. A Rock & Roll Mystery

Rock & Roll is here to stay. Or is it? The coveted autographed guitar if Sioux City’s rock legend goes missing. Teens explore the Library for clues, solve puzzles, and take part in interactive challenges to unravel the mystery. Pre-registration is required.

Mindfulness for Teens

Find more ease and joy in your life with some tools to manage stress, anxiety, and bring more compassion and understanding into your day-to-day life. Focusing on breath, movement, and stillness, we will try out some mindful activities including yoga and meditation during this hour-long session. Bring a yoga mat or beach towel. Pre-registration is required.
