This guided walking tour loops through the heart of downtown, beginning and ending at the Sioux City Public Library. Along the way, you’ll visit the real locations where shocking crimes unfolded, uncovering the people, motives, and moments that left lasting marks on the community. Inspired by this year’s summer reading theme, “Plant a Seed, Read,” the tour explores the “bad seeds” that grew into some of Sioux City’s most sensational cases.

When: Saturday, July 18, 2026 at 10 am
Where: Aalfs Downtown Library

*The tour will start at the parking lot on the west side of the Aalfs Downtown Library.*
-All stops are within a few blocks of the library in a compact loop – total walking distance is about 3/4 of a mile.
-It is recommended that attendees wear walking shoes and dress for outdoor weather.

(This is the same walk that took place on June 9th.)
