Beth Harms, Jean Gill, Karen Mohring and Jessie Christopherson brought certified therapy dogs to the panel discussion, "Celebrating the Human-Animal Connection." LaVon Stroh, Siouxland Humane Society, brought a kitten, in honor of Dewey, the Spencer Public Library's ambassador and resident "therapy" cat. Dr. Phil Kramper, DVM, and Otis, present "An Appointment with Dr. Phil—The Pet Vet" at the South Sioux City Public Library.

The goal of One Book One Siouxland is to share ideas and build community through the experience of reading and discussing the same book.
