Meet the new Online Branch
The Library’s new web site launched Tuesday night, July 2nd. Sporting a color scheme and masthead more closely aligned with the City’s, the new site promises more interactivity and enhanced content:
• The Library Calendar works with Google Calendars—so you can “save the date” or search events by Library location or date.
• Individual Library News articles can be liked on Facebook, shared or printed.
• Downloads now covers downloadable audio, eBooks and music as well as access to our premium online resources—most of which are available 24/7 with a full-service Library card.
• All About Books highlights multiple titles, along with access to Book Browse, Novelist Plus, and staff-selected read-alikes. Click on any book cover to see reviews or connect with the online catalog.
• The Kid Zone and Teen Scene are back with age-appropriate content and links
• What’s New? boxes allow users to find newly-added titles quickly and easily from multiple pages
Additional content is still in the works, the site is by no means finished. Click around and tell us what you think.
