Drones in the Library!

Nationally known storm chaser Eddy Weiss and his team will captivate the audience with thrilling stories of their experiences in extreme weather.  Participants will learn what it’s like to be right in the center of a tornado or first on the scene of a disaster.  Sioux City Public Library welcomes the team from Chasing4life on Friday, July 18, at 11:00 am and again at 1:30 pm at The Wilbur Aalfs (Main) Library, 529 Pierce Street, to answer questions about extreme weather and disaster response.  Free tickets are available for both sessions.

As a special after-hours event for teens in grades 6 to 10, Chasing4Life will present Heart of a Hero from 4:00 to 6:00 pm also on Friday, July 18 at The Wilbur Aalfs (Main) Library.  The team of disaster preparedness experts will discuss the everyday heroes of disaster response.  The team will demonstrate their Search and Rescue Drone along with sharing information about how being a hero can also be an occupation.
