Be part of something big!

Dear Friend:

Celebrate the enjoyment of using your public library and be part of something big! Since 1965, financial support from The Friends for print and recorded media, children’s programming and outreach, computers, and online resources has helped the Sioux City Public Library provide the excellent service we enjoy today.

From furniture and meeting room equipment to multiple-volume reference sets and bilingual books for readers whose native language is not English, Library Friends annually provide the “extras” that enrich public library service in Sioux City.

The Friends Board organizes a used book sale each spring and funds Library projects with the proceeds. Additional support is gathered through contributions from people like you. In 2007-2008 the Friends will provide support for the children’s summer reading program, purchase a disc repair machine and additional DVD film sets, and provide new display shelving for the Perry Creek Branch. This enrichment package totals nearly $18,000.
Please join other Siouxlanders who love and support the Sioux City Public Library—make your contribution today!

Sincerely,
Robert J. Morrisey, President
