The Sioux City Public Library will be temporarily closed to the public beginning Tuesday, March 17th.

Current Status of Library Services

  • All items currently checked out will be renewed by Library staff (Any fines accrued during this temporary closure will be waived)
  • Book Drops are open
  • Holds on items have been extended (so your place in the queue will be held)
  • Interlibrary loans are suspended
  • Not accepting donations
  • Home delivery service is suspended

Using the Library Remotely

Access the Library’s extensive menu of digital resources from home with your full-service library card. Download the Libby app on your smartphone to read eBooks or listen to an audiobook. Visit our eResources page to stream three hours of music per day via Freegal Music, learn to get crafty with Hobbies & Crafts Reference Center, or try one of our other premium databases.
